DALOT - FLIGHT SESSIONS
We have been waiting for this release with great excitement and the moment is finally here. Dalot joins Coorecords as the second artist to release an album with the company. What to expect from this ep? Well of course nothing but the best! Pure experimental, ambient and electronica sounds create an osmosis of sounds to the listeners ears.
Expect to go on a journey to your most inner beautiful hide away places. As the title of this ep might imply, be prepared for a flight session very different to those you have been aquatinted to up to now. The relaxing sounds of this album can fulfill nothing more than the great expectations that you may have from this terrific project. Be warned though, this is a limited edition and stock is running down quickly!!
Dalot is the solo project of Maria Papadomanolaki. Maria is a sound artist/musician currently based in New York. Her work has been exhibited in many European and International festivals including the Icelandic Festival of experimental film, Sunrise Festival (UK) and Athens video art Festival(GR). She has collaborated with choreographers, visual and sound artists, most recently with Manu Luksch and Peter Cusack (UK) for her performance piece entitled Trajectory. Maria has also been working for radio since 2000. Her latest series of radio shows was Flight Sessions; a four part mini guide to contemporary independent Greek music that she presented on Resonance FM (London, UK). Dalot started as an experimental project in 2003. So far Maria has produced 3 unreleased EP’s. Her latest EP entitled “Flight Sessions” is bound to be released by COOrecords later this year. Tracks from this EP were featured in Tom Robinson’s “Introducing” on BBC 6 music and on Resonance FM.
