Coorecords would like to announce the debut of the group Chromata. The first CD of Chromata, which was released in January 2009, is an elegant representation of nostalgic post electronica submerged in Greek lyrics. Its tranquility will take you on a beautiful sentimental journey through its colorful frequencies. Renowned collaborators from Greece and the UK have contributed for the realization of the CD. The final production was made at the Alchmea studios in London from Marcel Van Limbeek, producer to Tory Amos. The story tale themed cover of the CD is a work by Valero Doval, designer for the advertising campaign of Panasonic and permanent collaborator with the New York Times.
Chromata were created in 2006 by members Eva Ieropoulou and Fil Ieropoulos. Eva is a preschool music tutor at the Fillipos conservatoire in Veria; which she founded with her husband, composer Kostas Bravakis. She has written music for children for the past 15 years and already has two CD releases under her name. Fil is a tutor and lecturer of video art at renowned universities in London. He has been composing electronic music for the past ten years and in 2008 presented a sample of his work at the Athens Opera House. At the same time he creates experimental films and has taken part in film festivals in the UK and Germany.
